CLEMSON, SC – Former Clemson NCAA hurdles champion and Olympian Duane Ross was named director of track & field at North Carolina A&T, the school announced last week. Ross was a 2004 Olympian for the United States in the 110 hurdles and still holds the Clemson record in that event, as well as the 55 hurdles and 60 hurdles.

Duane Ross was a seven-time All-American at Clemson and won the NCAA title in the 110 hurdles in 1995.
Ross was silver medalist at the 2004 U.S. Olympics Trials and finished ninth in the 110 hurdles in Athens, Greece. He also was a four-time member of the U.S. World Championship Team, earning two gold medals and two silver medals in the 110 hurdles.
At Clemson, Ross was a seven-time All-American, which included his 1995 NCAA title in the 110 hurdles. He also won bronze at the 1994 NCAA Indoor Championships in the 55 hurdles. Ross collected five ACC Championships, including four individually in the hurdles. He earned his bachelor’s degree in financial management in 1996.
