CLEMSON — The Clemson rowing team wanted to beat Virginia at the ACC Championships. It was on their campus, in their lake, on their turf.

GREENSBORO, NC — Clemson’s First Varsity 8+ boat was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Rowing Crew of the Week after defeating crews from both 7th-ranked Ohio State and 12th-ranked Michigan this past weekend at the annual ACC-Big Ten Challenge in Columbus, Ohio. [Read more...]

COLUMBUS, OH — The Clemson Women’s Rowing Team recorded five victories in races over No. 7 Ohio State and No. 12 Michigan on the Scioto River in Columbus, OH on Sunday.

The morning started with Clemson’s 1st Varsity 8 beating Michigan in the 1st Varsity 8 by a full boat length. The Tigers recorded a time of 6:44.40 while the Wolverines recorded a time of 6:47.94. [Read more...]

CLEMSON — The 15th-ranked Clemson Women’s Rowing team recorded strong performances over Indiana, Boston University, Marist, Purdue, Syracuse and Alabama Saturday morning. A Clemson boat won each of the six races during perfect racing conditions on Lake Hartwell. [Read more...]

CLEMSON — The Clemson Women’s Rowing Team swept the Varsity 8 and Varsity 4 races Saturday morning on Lake Hartwell. The Novice 8 and Novice 4 boats recorded strong performances in their season debuts.

Rowing adds four more athletes

CLEMSON — Four student-athletes, including three international students, have been added to the Clemson Women’s Rowing roster for the spring 2011 season. Head Coach Robbie Tenenbaum made the announcement Monday.

Clemson announces $50 million plan to continue athletic facility improvements

CLEMSON – Clemson University’s athletic department is continuing its plan to improve facilities by announcing a goal to invest $50 million over the next five years in capital projects. The master plan includes enhancements to facilities for football, baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis and golf.

The projects will be funded through private gifts and generated athletics revenues, and a committee led by Ed and Jane Duckworth of Atlanta will study the plan and implement a funding strategy. All gifts in support of these initiatives will be included in The Will to Lead capital campaign. [Read more...]
