CLEMSON —Yannick Madden did everything in his power Friday afternoon to help his Clemson teammates as the men’s tennis team squared off against No. 17 North Carolina.

Maden started off the match on a high note, as he and doubles partner Zachary Rigsby beat the nationally ranked doubles team of Brennan Boyajian and Jose Hernandez 8-2. Although Maden also won his match at flight two singles defeating Boyajian with a score of 6-4, 6-0, the Tigers could not seal the deal and fell 4-3. [Read more...]

CLEMSON — After a tough match on Friday against No. 19 North Carolina, the Clemson men’s tennis squad came into its last home match against No. 11 Duke on Sunday with confidence it could compete with the Blue Devils.

Unfortunately, the Tigers discovered why Duke is No. 11 in the national poll. The Blue Devils lost just one set all afternoon as they cruised to a 7-0 win over Clemson at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center in Clemson. [Read more...]

BOSTON, MA — Clemson defeated Boston College 5-2 in an Atlantic Coast Conference men’s tennis match at Boston, MA Sunday afternoon.

With the win, the Tigers improve to 15-7 overall, and 2-5 in league play. Boston College falls to 4-13 overall and 0-7 in league play. The Tigers are ranked 48th nationally according to the latest ITA poll. [Read more...]

Meza has made big impact early for Tigers

CLEMSON — Clemson freshman Gerardo Meza is used to going head to head against the toughest competition, he used to compete against some of the best players in the world throughout his junior career in Mexico.

COLUMBIAZachary Rigsby defeated Harry Menzies at number-six singles in clinching the match and giving Clemson a 5-2 win over South Carolina in a men’s intercollegiate tennis match in Columbia March 23.

Clemson clinched the doubles point when Derek DiFazio and Robert Pietrucha defeated Alexander Kostanov and Chip Cox at number two doubles 9-7. [Read more...]

BOCA RATON, FL — Derek DiFazio defeated Ervin Garibovic 6-4, 0-6, 7-5 at number two singles in clinching the match and leading Clemson to a 4-3 victory over Florida Atlantic in men¹s tennis at Patch Tree Park in Boca Raton, FL, Friday.

CLEMSON — Florida State defeated Clemson 4-3 in a men’s Atlantic Coast Conference Tennis match at Clemson Friday afternoon.

With the win, Florida State improves to 6-5 overall, and 1-1 in league play. Clemson falls to 10-3 overall and 0-1 in the ACC. Florida State is ranked 36th nationally, while the Tigers are ranked 51st. The match was played indoors at Clemson¹s Indoor Tennis Complex at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center. [Read more...]
